I can’t be the only one fed up with my skin. I am 22 years old and still dealing with breakouts, uneven skin tone, texture, and acne scarring. I am SO over it!!! Some days I look in the mirror and honestly want to cry. My skin was perfectly clear all throughout high school and most of college. Over the past few months, my skin was has been at its worst. Talk about a toll on your confidence…. I am continually so frustrated and upset. If you are also struggling with your skin, know that you are not alone. We will get through this together!! Although I am still struggling with my skin, I have found some products that have drastically transformed my skin. Some are definitely a splurge but I would never recommend a product unless I didn’t 100% believe in it. This is my revolutionary skincare routine.
Sulfo Lo Cleaning Bar Soap
This soap was recommended by my sister’s dermatologist as a solution for acne without a prescription. It has amazing reviews and I know why! This stuff works!! Just within a few days of using, I could visibly see fewer breakouts. It is a bar soap which I think is not as convenient but it’s worth it. The soap contains sulfur which helps to dry out the surface of the skin and absorb exccess oil. It is the first thing I do to my skin after I wake up.
Summer Fridays CC Me Serum
As soon as Summer Fridays released this serum I knew I must get my hands on it. I love Summer Fridays because their products are all-natural and clean. In my opinion, vitamin C is something everyone should be incorporating into their skincare routine. Vitamin C helps even out skin tone, brighten, and fade acne scars. I have been using this for about a month now and love the results!! This one especially is so hydrating and gives such a beautiful glow to the skin. I use one pump and gently rub in
Glossier Priming Moisturizer Rich
The final step in my A.M. skincare is a moisturizer. I rotate between the Glossier moisturizer and the Summer Fridays Jet Lag mask. I love these two because they are extremely hydrating and set a great base for my makeup. Moisturizing is such an important step to your routine, my dermatologist told me every time you wash your face, you must follow up with a moisturizer. Washing your face strips the skin of its natural oils, so moistening is essential! These two rock!!
Sulfo Lo Cleaning Bar Soap
In the P.M. I use the Sulfo Lo soap again to remove my makeup and cleanse my skin. It does a great job
The Ordinary Glycolic Acid Toner
This next product is something that has really been transformative for my skin. I first started using a chemical exfoliator when I was introduced to the glossier solution. This toner from The Ordinary does the same thing and it’s much more affordable! Chemical exfoliants help to reduce the texture of your skin and help with radiance. I have been using this for months and have noticed such a big difference. I once skipped this step for a few days to see if it was actually working and boy my skin was not happy. This is a great product if you are dealing with tiny bumps on your skin. This is only about $8 too so it’s easy and cheap to incorporate into your routine! I put a little bit on a cotton pad and rub all over my face in upward motions.
Herbivore Pheonix Oil
Yet another product that has drastically changed the appearance of my skin. I saw an influencer on Instagram continually raving about this product but I was so turned off at the price. I finally splurged because I had a gift card and the VIB sale was going on! But it was the best investment. My skin looks so beautiful in the morning all thanks to this oil. If there is any ance starting to pop up, this
That is my whole routine! I think it is pretty simple and easy. This regimen has actually changed my skin. It is still a work in progress but the longer you keep your skin on a continual routine, the better it gets. That is why I think my skin has started to become better and better over these past few weeks. I am linking everything down below. Feel free to check these products out, ps. your gonna want to!! Have a wonderful weekend my babes!
