It is crazy to think that I’ve had my blog for almost 9 months now. I remember eating brunch on Easter Sunday with my family thinking, “I should really start a blog.” I told my family and they were totally on board, especially my Dad. Later in the day I pulled out my laptop and started making a free blog on an easy starter website. I was very nervous to start sharing my blog so I never really advertised it or shared it on my social media accounts. After I was a little more comfortable and had a bank of posts, I began to share it on Instagram. It wasn’t until later in the summer when my blog started getting a decent number of views and my dad offered to help me set up my own domain. Things were getting serious!! That’s when the official livslife.net was created!! (.com was taken if you were wondering lol) My dad and I sat down for about 2 days straight trying to figure out the WordPress software and how to get my blog looking that way I wanted it to. I really couldn’t have done it without him, thank you so much Dad, love you lots!!
Starting Liv’s Life is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Looking back, I can’t imagine my life without my blog. It is still astonishing to me that I have this platform where I can share whatever I please. It is so nice to have a space that I can do whatever I want with and no on can take that away from me. Growing up, I didn’t have an older sister, I looked up to my mama and girls on Youtube/ blogs for beauty and fashion tips and just for advice in general. Freshman year of high school I was so close to starting a youtube channel, but never had the guts to do it. I just remember thinking to myself “I don’t have an older sister and I really look up to these girls so much, I want to be that person that girls look up to”. Now, I don’t know if girls are actually looking up to me or not but I love helping others so much and it makes my heart happy that I can possibly inspire other girls, even if it is just about a makeup item or pair of shoes. That is the exact reason why I started my blog! It makes me so happy when people come up to me and tell me they have used products I have recommended and love my reading my blog. It makes my heart so full that people actually take time out of their day to read what I have to say; It’s the best feeling in the world. All of my hard work is paying off, because at the end of they day why would I be putting in all this time and effort if no one was going to read it?
If you are reading this and have always wanted to start a blog or a youtube channel or something along those lines, my advice is just do it! Bite the bullet and go for it girlfriend! I’m not going to lie, it scared me to death to put myself out there. I knew people might pass judgments or even make fun of my blog but that didn’t stop me. It only fueled me to work harder on it and make it into one of the best parts of my life. I cannot believe how far I have come in the past 9 months. I’ve worked with brands and even started receiving compensation, which is so amazing because I am getting paid to do something I love! I never would have imaged that I would be getting 100+ views every day but here I am making my dream a reality. I wouldn’t be here either if it wasn’t for my supportive family and especially my beautiful sister Amy, who takes almost all of my photos, I love you so much!!! I’m also so thankful for my subscribers and consistent readers who continuously read my posts! Whoever is reading this right now, I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading what I have to say, it means more than the world to me.
In the future, I hope to work harder to make my blog better! I wish to post more frequently and go the extra mile.
